A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

On March 15th, I was checking my twitter account and saw that Tatte had fresh strawberry hamantaschen (@tattecookies), handmade jam…nice. Sold. When I got home after work, Tatte was my first stop. It was a beautiful day outside, sunny-trying to warm up…but seeing the outside tables made me think that there is hope that spring is on its way. Tatte is a cute little bakery that is near the St. Mary’s T stop that sells gourmet pastry-make sure to check out the nut boxes while you are there.

I picked up a pre-packaged container of pistachio cookies.

A really nice, rich butter cookie with whole pistachios on top. Really great for a party or for that “something sweet” with a cup of coffee.

I also picked up a flourless brownie. They had them with a variety of types of nuts on top, I chose walnuts. Delicious! Very rich, dense, moist chocolate flavor. The walnuts were on top, as opposed to mixed in, giving the nuts maximum crunchiness. Make sure to have a cup of milk on standby.

So, in addition to strawberry, they also had poppy seed (with the poppy seeds coming directly from Israel) and Nutella. I love nutella. The ‘cookie’ part was buttery and delicious, and the nutella was just the perfect amount of sweetness.

And the strawberry hamantaschen…what I came for. Really tasty-I LOVED the strawberry jam, I just wish that there were more of it-and like the nutella one, the ‘cookie’ part was buttery and delicious.
