A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

Rosie’s bakery makes pretty darn good brownies. Show above is their award winning ‘chocolate orgasm’ brownie-which you can buy by the tray (above) or you can buy per piece (below).

A chocolate fudge  brownie with a layer of smooth creamy chocolate frosting! It was acknowledged by Chocolatier magazine for one of the best chocolate recipes they had tasted….and I agree. The brownie is rich and dense…the frosting is perfectly sweet. YUM!!

In addition to the brownie, I picked up a raspberry bar. It has a shortbread bottom, a layer of raspberry preserves and a streusel topping. Delicious. The raspberry preserves are so good-nice and sweet, balanced off by the crumbly streusel on top. The streusel is light and crunchy with a little bit of sweetness to it. It’s completely crave worthy.

The lemon bar was, in contrast, tart-with a lemon curd flavor. The shortbread bottom cuts the tartness of the lemon topping. Finish it off with a little powdered sugar and you are in for one heavenly dessert (and I don’t usually go for lemon desserts).

The store in Chestnut Hill is right on Route 9, in the Star Market plaza. There is ample parking in the lot out front. The store has a little area for you to sit and enjoy your sweet dessert with a warm beverage. They offer a wide variety of pre made cakes, cookies, brownies, bars and cupcakes. The staff is always friendly and helpful…so stop in some time when you are in the mood to treat yourself to something special.
