A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

No summer at the Cape is complete without a stop in at the Clam Shack. This little waterfront shack serves up some of the best fried clams (and other food) on the Cape! Parking can be dicey here, but circle around, it’s worth it. And remember to bring your cash kids, they don’t accept cards.

Mark and Bekka were freshly back from their honeymoon and I wanted all the details! They brought their new pup and we grabbed a communal picnic table out back. Seats are also pretty hard to come by during peak season, so try going at an off time or take your chances hovering over people eating and pounce on their seats the moment they get up, because if you hesitate, you’ll get the seat scooped out from under you! Of course the fried clams, with bellies of course, because anything else would be uncivilized – the fried pickles, and I had the fried shrimp plate!

There is just something about fried clams and summer! My mom always says she only has fried clams once a year, but at the end of the season, it’s been 4 times already!

Where’s your favorite fried clam spot?
