A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

When we went to the friendly toast a while back, we had a great cup of tea – a black vanilla tea. Portsmouth is on the way up to Maine, so when we were headed up to do some outlet shopping, we stopped at the cafe for lunch. Parking is tough, the lot is small and there’s limited space to maneuver.

The restaurant is spacious in the front, with high ceilings, tables to work and eat at and there’s even a comfortable couch.

The walls are decorated with lovely photographs that are available to purchase.

For lunch we both had the rice bowl ($8.95) with steamed brown rice, chicken, kale, squash and other steamed vegetables. I was surprised at how tender the chicken was – the meal was healthy and surprisingly delicious. In addition to the rice bowls, that you can get with tofu or just veggies, they offer a build your own salad option and a build your own sandwich option. While you’re waiting for your food, you can browse the retail section by the registers and pick up some tea for home. As I mentioned before, we love the black vanilla tea, which comes in 3 sizes, loose, 1.8 oz pouches, 3.6 oz tins and 3 lb pouches.
