A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

IMG_0127Clover recently opened a storefront in Brookline Village near Matt Murphy’s, Orinoco and Pomodoro. It’s a really nice addition to the neighborhood.

IMG_0124Their menu is written on the window in the front of the store as well as projected on the TV screens up on the wall. If you go to their website, you can see in real time what is available at any given moment (only certain locations). Pretty high tech!

IMG_0123The guy talking our order was really cool – super friendly and personable. He was chatting us up, asking if we had ever been to Clover before, and we were all bummed that they will not be at the BU stop this fall.

IMG_0132We grabbed two house made sodas – raspberry and blackberry. The raspberry was a little sweeter than the blackberry, they were both really tasty! ($2 each)

IMG_0128There are no tables in the storefront, so we walked over to the town building and ate outside on the steps. We both had the chickpea fritter sandwich ($6) which was tasty. Love the picked cabbage, between that and the carrots there was a really nice crunch factor. The chickpeas were fried and lightly drizzled with sauce and a fun surprise were the pickles which, with the picked cabbage gave the sandwich a sweet zing!

IMG_0129We also had the rosemary fries ($3) which smelled delicious. We watched them make everything fresh and to order.

IMG_0131While the fries were certainly delicious, they weren’t very crispy- in fact, most of them were pretty limp. Don’t get me wrong, we liked them, and we ate every single one of them…we just wished they were a bit crispier. All in all a great meal. We look forward to having Clover in the neighborhood as another option. Can’t wait to stop in for breakfast and try their popover breakfast sandwich! See you soon Clover BLV!
