A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

IMG_9532I have a nail polish addiction. I change my polish every 2 days or so and have a collection that would rival any nail salons collection. Nars is my go to brand these days and I can’t live without Seche Vite. Seche Vite is this amazing topcoat that gives you the shine of a gel mani, in fact, many people stop me and ask me where I get my gel manicure done, and are shocked to hear that I do my own nails. The top coat dries in minutes and makes your nails indestructible.

IMG_9530 Here are my latest loves. Nars Jungle Red. It is so hard to find the perfect red polish. My go to used to be OPI Vodka and Caviar, but it has since been discontinued.  Jungle Red is a close second to Vodka and Caviar and at $19 a bottle, this isn’t cheap, but it’s a good investment for the perfect polish.

IMG_9535I love the butter colors.  Butter is a “three-free” company, meaning products are free of formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP. I find that the polish chips off quicker than other kinds of polish, and it takes me 3 coats to achieve the look I desire. At $15 a bottle, this isn’t exactly cheap either – but they have so many fashionable colors I just can’t resist. Above is “artful dodger” which is a subtle teal color

IMG_8078I love the color of Julep and the unique packaging. I feel like the brush is pretty long, so there is less control. This chips off the easiest of all the polishes in the post. Taylor – “deep sky blue crème -somewhere between periwinkle and denim funky, but not too flashy!”

IMG_9668Butter “Billy No Mates” is a great grey to have in your collection. The website writes, “Pale, dove-grey crème. The colour of snowfall in London. Sigh. This phrase is Brit slang for someone who is a “loser”, and thus has no friends. Poor chap!”

IMG_9911Dior Graphic Berry – the brush is short and shaped for easier application. I love this color – it always goes on smoothly and I love the shine, even before the top coat.

IMG_9646Nars Ecume an opaque white is my new go to. I love how clean it is, for me it’s the new “french”.

Butter Fiver “An opaque, mint-green creme that’s slang for a five pound note, and also the path to riches.” While the color is a mint green, it can function as a neutral.

What’s your colors are you obsessed with these days?
