A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

SAM_2551 - Version 2We had our “second” wedding reception for friends at Legal Sea Foods in Park Square. They printed up custom menus for our guests. Everything about this process was smooth and seamless. We were able to re-use our lanterns from our original ceremony which we bought from Pottery Barn. Flowers were from Chaba Florists, located just down the street.

SAM_2557We held drinks and hor d’oeuvres in the bar downstairs and then moved into the wine cellar for lunch. It’s a really great room to have a small gathering, it certainly has a warm and cozy feeling. The service was excellent, although the one thing that we would have changed was that we were paying for wine by the bottle – instead of pouring glasses as they were ordered, they opened all the bottles and passed them on trays – there was a lot of wasted wine.

SAM_2560We were able to bring in our own cake from an outside vendor which they displayed on one of their oak barrels. The cake was from Ivy’s (see previous post here and a supplemental post here). The cake was chocolate chip cannoli filling between chocolate and vanilla cake. The flowers were bought white and the bakery sprayed them to match our color scheme. Photos by Team Yu Photography.

IMG_2129For lunch we offered a few different selections, but the most popular was the lobster roll: freshly shucked native lobster, celery mayo, brioche bun. The bun was overflowing with lobster meat which was delicious. The fries were crisp, salty perfection – overall a great meal.
