A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

On a sunny day this summer, when it was super hot and steamy, we decided to take a drive to Rockport to get lobster rolls. There were tons of tourists and not a parking spot in sight. Make sure to bring your quarters!

After wandering around a bit in the shops, we headed to Roy Moore Lobster Co. A cute little shop where you can order live lobsters or they will cook you one and you take it out back to eat.

You can smell the salty water the minute you step in. Keep in mind that this place is not a restaurant, there is no table service…just order at the counter and help yourself to seats out back that are first come first serve.

$15 gets you a lobster roll with a bag of chips. Grab your soda from the machine in the front of the store. Out back is full so we take our rolls and walk up the street to eat by the water.

The lobster rolls are no nonsense, just lobster in a hot dog bun. There was plenty of tail and claw meat to go around! They pulled the pre made sandwich our of the fridge and it had a little bit of a weird flavor to it, which was a little disappointing. But on a hot day, it tasted quite delicious. I would certainly go back and try a cooked lobster there! Not one of my all time favorites, but not bad overall.
